About Flip Configuration Guide
The Configuration Guide is a serie of guides intented for flip developers to assist into setting up their building environment.
How to Use This Document
You don't necesseraly need to read each chapter of this manual. Chapters are separated in very specific tasks, for a very specific need.
Prerequisites
You should be familiar with C++ programming. You should be also familiar with gyp
tool, but this is not a strict requirement.
Content
This guide presents the following content in a didactic order.
- The first chapter, Files Hierarchy will expose the file hierarchy of the Flip framework
- If you are using the
gyp
build system tool, the chapter Setting up Usinggyp
will assist you into integrating Flipgyp
files into your build system - On the contrary, if you are using a different build system, the chapter Setting up Manually will assist you into integrating Flip manually into your projects IDE or give you hint to integrate Flip into your automatic build system
- If your build system uses dynamic linked library to speedup development, the chapter Using Flip as a Dynamic Linked Library (DLL) will expose the needed changes to apply to your project
- The next chapter, Miscellaneous Configuration will expose specific precompilation flags used to change specific feature behavior of flip such as fatal error handling and
